Brain TuneUp is a brain‑training app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information
- Email address (used for sign‑in and account management).
- Password is handled by our authentication provider; we do not store your plain‑text password.
Profile information (optional)
- Display name (used to personalize the app; may be shown on leaderboards if enabled).
- Date of birth and country (used to apply age/child‑privacy restrictions and, if you opt in, anonymous benchmarking).
Gameplay information
- Game sessions and results (for example: game played, difficulty/level, score, timing, accuracy).
- Anti‑cheat fields for validating results (for example: per‑run seed and a result signature).
Purchase/subscription information
- Purchase status needed to unlock Pro features (for example: product ID, store, status, and expiration).
- Payments are processed by Apple/Google (or your platform). We do not receive your full payment card details.
Device storage
We store some information locally on your device to make the app work offline and load faster (for example: cached profile fields, cached weekly stats, queued score submissions, and your Pro entitlement cache).
How We Use Information
- Provide core app features (sign‑in, gameplay, saving results, and showing progress).
- Apply safety/age restrictions and limit data collection for children.
- Maintain and restore Pro access and subscription status.
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse (for example: validating score submissions).
- If you opt in to anonymous benchmarking (where available), show aggregated comparisons (we do not display cohorts smaller than 50 users).
When We Share Information
- Service providers. We use Supabase to provide authentication and database storage for your account, profile, and gameplay data.
- Public features (if enabled). If leaderboards are enabled, we may display your display name and game scores/rankings to other users. We do not show your email address publicly.
- Aggregates. When showing anonymous benchmarking, we share only aggregated statistics (not your raw account details).
- Legal/safety. We may share information if required to comply with law or protect users.
Children’s Privacy
Brain TuneUp is not intended for children under the applicable consent age (often 13). If we detect that an account is under the consent age for the selected country, we restrict features and do not store gameplay scores on our servers.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep account, profile, and gameplay information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account from the Profile page, which removes your account and gameplay data from our backend. We may retain limited purchase/receipt records where needed for operational, legal, or fraud‑prevention purposes.
Your Choices
- Update your profile information in the Profile page.
- Delete your account from the Profile page.
- Use the app without Pro; in that case, server-side gameplay score storage may be limited.
- If available, opt in/out of anonymous benchmarking in settings.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made.
